The 2021 Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 is a limited-edition motorcycle that features a 765cc inline-triple engine, Brembo Stylema brakes, Öhlins suspension, and carbon fiber bodywork inspired by the Moto2 World Championship. When you swing a leg over the Daytona 765, the seating position feels familiar to those who have ridden the Daytona 675. The bike is narrow between the rider’s legs and has a tall, forward-slanted seat wrapped in a premium high-grip material with fine stitching. The clip-on controls are arranged in a focused, track-style manner. Notably, there are no accommodations for a passenger.
A new color TFT display and an updated top clamp etched with the vehicle’s production number indicate that you're aboard something special. When you fire up the engine, the inline-three cylinder roars to life with its signature note, which sounds even sweeter thanks to the OE-fitted Arrow titanium muffler.
With its larger 765cc engine, the Daytona delivers increased power, especially at low RPMs. This makes it easy to pull its taller first gear without much clutch slip. Renowned for its midrange performance, the engine is also robust in this RPM range. An electronic up-and-down quick-shifter allows for smooth and enjoyable gear changes through the six-speed gearbox, and Triumph claims the engine produces 128 horsepower.
The Daytona 765 now features a ride-by-wire throttle system, enabling user-adjustable riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and a customizable user setting). The throttle response is just as accurate as Triumph’s previous analog setup. In addition to the impressive engine character, the braking system is a standout feature. The Brembo radial-mount calipers combined with an adjustable-ratio master cylinder provide a strong brake bite while maintaining an excellent lever feel. The fixed, always-on ABS system helps prevent slides and braking instability.
